The doors opened on a somewhat re-vamped Town Mill on July 5th 2002 - the famous UK Subs throwing their very own special opening night party.
The intention was to bring live music to a Mansfield public, hungry to see some of the country's top groups, both up-and-coming and from the past. And we think we've done pretty well so far.

Now this is where we can tell you we have made one or two mistakes when booking groups - well, it's actually just the one so far!
We also had a certain group cancel on us TWICE and we don't think they'll be re-scheduling now somehow. Both dates were cancelled because of doing record label shows elsewhere, otherwise you would have seen the Arctic Monkeys grace The Mill stage during the middle of 2006.
A group on the up said the e-mail from the agent (they always say that!!!) Full UK tour shortly to be announced with major advertising in NME and all the music press.

And all for the princely sum of £***. After much soul-searching we turned down Snow Patrol. Two weeks after the first adverts appeared in the music press all dates on the UK tour had sold out. Gutted!
